About the Author

Hi – my name is Sarah and I’m twenty one years old. I’m a South Florida native, and I’m going to be a senior at Fordham University in the Bronx, where I am an American Studies and Communication & Media Studies double-major. I’m the former Executive Editor at our campus newspaper, The Ram, and the Campus Correspondent for Her Campus Fordham. While at Fordham, I have interned at Lovelyish, Seventeen,  Good Housekeeping, Norwood News and The TRUF. I’m now interning at CBS This Morning.

In between all the studying, procrastinating, and sleeping typical of a college student’s life, I love spending time with my family, friends, and two dogs. The two great loves of my life are movies and sports – as far as I’m concerned, the Oscars are just as exciting as the Super Bowl (it really depends on the year though!). My other interests include: traveling, photography, fashion, crafting, politics, pop culture, Latin, history and reading. If I sound like a nerd, it’s because I am.

About the Blog

Shades of Sarah started in June 2010. One reason I started this blog was to work on my writing and deadlines. I’ve also been inspired after reading many other fabulous, well-written and thought-provoking blogs. When I started brainstorming blog ideas, I just couldn’t figure out what to write about – I have so many different interests. In the end, I decided to embrace that. As readers, you’re going to see different sides to me. And really, why not? We’re all multi-faceted.
