Four Eyes Confession: GlassesUSA Review

Wearing my old, trusty Lacoste frames.

It’s true, y’all: I wear eyeglasses. My friends IRL already know this, but I’ve been wearing glasses since I was eight. That’s a long time! Still, you’ll never see me take pictures wearing glasses because I’m still insecure about them. It’s all about confidence I guess.

And what can make a girl feel better than a cute new set of frames? Shopping for glasses is the best, and if I can do it from the comfort of my dorm room, even better. That’s where GlassesUSA.com comes in.

When GlassesUSA asked me to review their website, I was excited to check out their selection. They have so many cheap eyeglasses, and you can sort the glasses by gender, frame type, frame shape and lens type. (I’m a plastic frames girl myself.)

The GlassesUSA website also has a virtual mirror so you can “try on” your glasses. It’s a little tricky to use (I had to start over more than once), but it’s still pretty cool and helpful:

What do you think (ignoring my wonky eye)? I’m still not sure if online glasses shopping is right for me, but it’s certainly a great option to have (isn’t the Internet amazing like that?). And if I’m going to give it a try, I might as well do with a company like GlassesUSA, with a solid BizRate rating and a 90-day warranty.
